Internship Description

Vlocity Communications, registered with MICTA SETA is proud to announce the launch of their 5th Internship Programme in this most exciting industry of wireless technology, and is now calling for CV’s from all interested qualified yet unemployed students who would like to further their careers in this fast growing and very exciting industry.

Key Performance Areas:

Office Administration:

  • Responsible for Branch Office Reception: all incoming calls to be answered as per required procedure
  • Know the whereabouts of all branch office staff at all times
  • Manage the vehicle tracker system
  • Generate the job cards timeously and liaise with Head Office Accounts with regards to the Job Cards
  • Keep the Job Card Registry up to date at all times
  • Forward the MD the Dashboard on a daily bases
  • Manage the Branch Manager’s Diary
  • Forward all leave requests to Head Office to ensure even scheduling of leave due
  • Follow the procedure for the payment of accounts and suppliers invoice. All documentation to be forwarded to head office on a regular bases
  • Ensure that all costs incurred are duly authorized by the Branch  Manager and allocated to cost centers
  • Query discrepancies in invoices
  • Administrating the purchasing and logging of required stock for  the branch
  • Administrating all job cards
  • Assisting with creditors
  • Assisting with debtors: the following up of outstanding accounts, debt collecting, client liaison and problem solving
  • Monitor, supervise and control all activities carried out at Branch Level to ensure the smooth and accurate administration and logging of all stock purchases.
  • Monitor the ticketing system for invoices required
  • Monitor the call logs, raise job cards and ensure that invoices are raised accordingly
  • Monitor petrol accounts and query discrepancies and escalate to management when problems are found
  • Receiving and sending of articles and documents via SkyNet/Courierit or courier company in use
  • Ordering of stationery for the company as and when required
  • Filing
  • Assist management with general administration as and when required


  • Ensure staff are performing duties and attending to branch matters as required
  • Liaise with clients as to the time schedules for the teams
  • Assist the Mpumalanga region Sales Representative with administrative duties
  • Train any subordinates employed to perform their duties according to company standards
  • Office Maintenance:
    • Order stock and/or equipment as per the company’s standard agreed procedures
    • Order or purchase office supplies (teas and cleaning) as and when necessary
  • General:
    • Any other duties and/or responsibilities that may be issued to you from time to time, to ensure the smooth running and efficiency of the companies operational requirements

Eligibility Criteria for all applicants:

  • Be students, aged between 20 and 34 years and who has obtained a NQF LEVEL 5 qualification in a related or relevant field of study, or can give proof of enrollment with a recognized institution studying towards a NQF Level 5 and who wants to further a hands-on career in admin/accounts, networking, Voip, Fibre and related wireless disciplines.
  • Be from the previous disadvantaged groups (Black, Coloured, Indian, Asian etc)
  • Be fluent in English
  • Be a South African Citizen (students with scarce and critical technical skills schooling from other African countries can apply. e.g. programmers and networking engineers with Java or related qualifications)
  • Has excellent computer skills specifically with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Pastel accounting programme for Administrive/Accounting positions). For Operations and
    Technical Support vacancies, preference will be given to applicants with skills in Mikrotik, Ubiquiti and Linux Ubuntu.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Self-starter (go-getter, willing to learn)
  • Good strong verbal communication skills for dealing with corporate management and clients (preferable no heavy foreign accents)
  • Ability to work equally well on self-managed or team-oriented projects
  • Valid South African Learners/Drivers License
  • All students to have own accommodation and reliable transport to and from work
