You can give the youth

We can transcend South Africa to a place of prosperity and inclusion, but only if we work together.

For this Shift Tomorrow campaign, there are 2 ways that you can get involved.

#GiveTheYouthAChance

Give Hope.

More than anything, our youth need hope. We need to show them that hope is not lost. Some of the greatest success stories of leaders in South African companies started as interns or graduates.

Our recent triumph in the Rugby World Cup has lit a forest fire of hope and positivity across the country.

Let’s keep this fire burning.

Stories of Hope

WATCH BUSISIWE MAVUSO‘S STORY

Busisiwe Mavuso used to walk to school in shoes that were too small for her. Today, she is a qualified Chartered Accountant and the CEO of Business Leadership South Africa. Despite Busi’s ‘challenging upbringing, she defeated the odds and has become a respected leader in South Africa today.

WATCH KHAYA DLANGA‘S STORY

Khaya Dlanga used to forge train tickets in order to get to and from his lectures. Today, he is the the Chief Marketing Officer of rain and has had a career at Ogilvy, Coca Cola and Heinekin.

Give Access.

We’ve partnered with Uber to sponsor unemployed youth with free rides to help them get to and from interviews. We need you to help us scale the number of youth we can assist. Uber has started with R10,000 worth of free rides and they’ll match a further R10,000 of contributions from the public.

Help us democratise access to opportunities for the youth by giving them a fighting chance.

Sponsor a Ride

Nokuthula

"Employers think I don't take them seriously but transport money is a real issue. I've missed so many interviews because I can't get there."

Ouma

"All my 3 previous interviews I had to practically beg. The second one I went and came back with last cents, hungry and tired from all the walking."

Angie

"I was invited to attend an interview in Edenvale and I am in Fleurhof. I didn't attend because I had only R12 with me. I used most of my money on copies, scan and send."

Give an Opportunity.

All of this is futile without job Opportunities.

South African businesses, this is a call on you to keep the momentum of this initiative going.

Invest in the youth and you will be amazed at the value you will gain commercially, socially and culturally.

Help us change lives.

If you’re not ready to hire right away, you can pledge to make an entry-level opportunity available during 2020.
